Verano is a rosé wine
produced by blending Cabernet Sauvignon
and Okuzgozu grape varietals. Cabernet Sauvignon,
a world famous noble varietal, is known
as "the king of red grapes". This grape
variety, cultivated in Doluca's own vineyards
near Mürefte (northwest of Turkey), expresses
its full-bodied and fruity characteristics
in Verano. Named after the remarkable size
of its grey-blue fruits; the lively, fruity
character of Okuzgozu (literally "ox's eye")
varietal is also fully reflected in Verano.
During the production of this wine the grapes
were not exposed to the pressing process
and only the free run juice was fermented
through cool fermentation technique. Verano
with its crisp, refreshing and fruity structure
invokes the aromas of sour cherry, strawberry,
and raspberry.
